Tara Foster

Tara Foster (she/her) is an arts administrator and multidisciplinary creative serving as CUP’s Director of Operations and Development. Tara is committed to ever expanding access and shifting the power of who and how our urban spaces and policies are co-created. Prior to joining CUP, Tara served as a curator and project manager with MTA Arts & Design, where she supported the implementation of site-responsive permanent and temporary art projects throughout subway and commuter rail stations in the New York metropolitan area. Previously, Tara cultivated intersecting and networked artist communities as an inaugural team member at the Joan Mitchell Center in New Orleans, facilitating the overall residency experiences of local, national, and international artists.


Before returning to her hometown of New York City, Tara completed a self-designed, dual degree master’s program at the University of New Orleans, earning a M.A. in arts administration and M.S. in urban studies. Tara received a B.A. in art history from the University of Vermont.
