Annisha Davis

Annisha Davis is an EDI Specialist and Senior Advisor to the Civic Engagement Studio at the Department of City Planning. She leads the Shared Language team, developing a shared language toolkit for race-based conversation. In her time at the agency, she has co-contributed to its Equity, Diversity and Inclusion curriculum and has spearheaded several equity initiatives. Through her work, she strives to answer the question “What is equity and how do we achieve it?” by keeping racial equity at the forefront of the conversation and supporting planning staff’s engagement with communities to make the planning processes for NYC’s neighborhoods more inclusive.
