CUP's Board announces our new Executive Director!
CUP’s Board is thrilled to announce that Pilar Finuccio is our new Executive Director.
When we set out to hire a new Executive Director, we were excited to consider who from within the CUP team could rise into this position. Leading CUP requires a unique blend of fluency in design and education, a deft understanding of the landscapes of politics and advocacy, and a commitment to supporting communities. In her four years leading many of CUP’s projects as a program manager and then a senior program manager, Pilar has excelled in pushing forward the organization’s methodology and demonstrated her care for building and maintaining relationships with the team and CUP’s community of organizers, designers, artists, teachers, and school partners. Her appointment as Executive Director will be invaluable to the organization’s next chapter.
We’re grateful to Pilar for taking on this new challenge and to the entire CUP team for supporting her as she moves into this position. With the strength, passion, and talent of the team and board, we’re eager to see Pilar’s vision unfold.
Please take a moment to read a message from Pilar here, and send her your warm wishes and welcome! We can’t wait for you all to meet her, work with her, and continue to be the community that makes CUP’s work possible.
Sincerely,
Ariel Fausto, Co-chair
