Janay Nachel

Janay Nachel is a Senior Designer at Penguin Random House. Janay specializes in visual storytelling with a focus on print design, typography, and illustration. A 2015 graduate of the BFA program at The City College of New York, non-profit centered on human trafficking, before working for Penguin Random House and freelancing with companies such as HarperCollins, Row House Books (Simon & Schuster) & W.W. Norton. She has also been a judge for the NAACP Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics and is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Maryland Institute College of Art where she is teaching Typography 3.
